Early Concepts / Animation sheets

When I create characters, I usually start from a personality and work that into the visuals. To train my sculpting and rigging skills, I knew that I wanted to create a character with a mechanical arm, but had no other goals. This is one of the rare characters where I began with the visuals and then developed her personality around what was emerging in the sketching process.

Transition to 3D

I am currently sculpting this gal, trying new things in ZbrushCore as I go! The high poly sculpt is nearly finished, and I hope to have a full turnaround soon.
